Hey there!
The Huey’s Haven Foundation exists to improve the quality of life for veterans, individuals, families and communities, especially those affected by alcohol and drug dependency, by providing accessible educational services.
Our goal is to help people manage everyday stressors and when needed, regain control of life. We must all learn to constructively cope. The fast-paced, interconnected world we live in can lend us to positive and counterproductive habits. Some people become dependent on drugs and alcohol, some experience depression. All too often, it happens to veterans that are adjusting to civilian life after years of service to this great country.
We aspire to intervene before community members feel overwhelmed; to provide comfort to as many hurting hearts and lives as we can before it is too late. We want to give them a safe place to say, “my world is too busy for me or going too fast and I need help!” We hear and are here for them. We are here to help! We serve to provide a break in busy schedules.
Once a year Huey’s Haven opens its doors to illustrate the possibilities of a life of contented sobriety and success. We believe that if we provide a dignified, safe and supportive environment, accurate information, a solid bridge, people will recover. Throughout the remainder of the year, the Huey’s Haven Foundation offers non-clinical, mutual help to approach problems plaguing our communities, especially veterans (e.g. mood disorders, dependency, etc).
